took a trip to the river for this little ladies birthday last weekend. i believe this girl lived in the water in the previous life.

we were in very good company. these two are the biggest look-a-like cousins and i think it has everything to do with their coloring.

my poor cupcakes were so sad in the heat. thank heavens for the bailey's and the cookie they brought along for emilia. she opted to use the cookie as her candle holder instead of an overheated strawberry cupcake.

six! really? she is so very old now.

i can't tell you how much i adore this little girl...she is a gem.

bainey sported his newest shiner on his eye and a striking resemblance to a mercer mayer character with his sun screened head and cupcake mustache.

peeking to make sure she approved of of the present before opening it all the way...it was an easy bake oven. i still remember raquel's growing up and how magical it was. maybe emilia didn't ask for one and maybe she did.

our annual anniversary picture didn't work out as planned this year...we totally forgot until we were out on our hot date. after we returned home we went into the kids' rooms and took a picture with them as they were sleeping. we couldn't miss a year.
