the tonsil removal went well for rockwell. he was extremely emotional and upset when he awoke from anaesthesia and kept coughing and yelling, 'there is something in my throat and i can't get it out!' it was really sad.
i will no longer believe what anyone says on a child's recovery time for a tonsillectomy. i had read that after 2-3 days they should feel a lot better...wrong. poor little guy would wake-up every 3 hours and 45 minutes at night when his pain medicine wore off for a week. it was quite the adventure to get him to take it again when he was half asleep. but, as long as we did keep him loaded with pain meds, he would eat popsicles and soup. all. day. long.
easter was very pleasant this year. i love when it falls on general conference weekend. it sure makes a mommy's job a lot easier. i do a lot better at working with what i've got then searching the retail world over for easter outfits.
this was the easter treat at grandma and grandpa's this year. we just can't get enough of kaisa and scott's little otto. i would have to say that julia and baine are the most obsessed in my family. emerson is a close third though...he LOVES the newborns.
finally, who doesn't need a good laugh? i walked in the door the other day and my mom and raquel were playing dress-up with baine. he was completely content in the blonde wig. hilarious.

Poor Rock! I hope he gets feeling better soon, there's nothing more heartbreaking than watching little kiddos in pain and discomfort.
I laughed so hard that Emerson comes in 3rd when it comes to loving new babies... I guarantee he's going to want another one real soon!

i meant to comment on this ages ago. i mean, it's nothing you haven't heard before in all of these eight comments. i agree with all of them. poor rockwell. sweet little otto. and baine?! are you FREAKING kidding me? i literally want to blow that picture up into an 18x24 and hang it in my home. i love it so much. i've said it before and i'll say it again, you seriously have the cutest kids humanly possible.
